There are 5.4 million people who have Alzheimer's. It cost 183 billion dollars in annual costs. Alz's is the 6th leading cause of death.
To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Rainy Day

It has been a nice uneventful day. That is good. Mom is napping and I am on here. My Cat is laying in my lap . Tomorrow will be busy with mom's nurse and aid coming so no down time. Today I am going to enjoy the rain. My sister is coming tonight to care for mom . So it is turning into a great day. Maybe I can get my son to take me out to eat. Very good idea .

  1. Yes uneventful days are always nice and going out to eat sounds like a great plan. Sue just looked at the photos of the cat. I assume that's the one you mentioned. Sue wanted you to know it is very pretty.

  5. Hi,

I am here from Delores' blog. I recently loss my mother... (4/30/09)she too had Alzheimer's. She had Alzheimer's and Dementia. She was in a rehab for 30 days and then she went to a nursing home immediately after. She was only there for three weeks before she passed. She had two massive blood clots on her lungs. (Something no one knew.) Her death was very sudden. The Alzheimer's had gotten bad, but she always knew who we all were. (family)

I took care of my Mother... I never missed a day (7 days a week) at the nursing home. I know what it's like caring for a parent with Alzhemers...

I posted a story about my mom Mid May of this year. Check it out when you get time. If you visit my blog, click on "The Alzheimer's Team" on the left ..

I will be back to visit.
