Winter is coming back. We had a few nice days lately. Temperatures in the 60's but now we are under a winter storm watch. Going to rain than turn into freezing rain and than snow . I just hope the power stays on. It has been a year to this date since we had our last ice storm and we were without power for days. Some for weeks.
Update on moms rash. It looks better to me. The Hospice Home was out of the good medicine so keeping diaper rash med. on it. So far so good. I have been cleaning under her breast and her fat rolls everyday. Putting on lots of Diaper rash med. Even on the days the aid does not come. Aren't you proud of me? Well I hate it . But doing it with a smile on my face. Really. At least I don't worry about it so much. The first night after the aid found it I could not sleep.

Karen, there is a person or persons who are posting comments on some of our sites saying what a great and interesting blog we have, but we could do better with advertising and should check out this particular site, and it does cost money to have their ads placed. The wording is the same for each one too, just different names used. I would stay away from that email, sounds like the same deal though that I ignored.
ReplyDeleteThanks , That is what I was thinking. Stay away.I already have lots of Ad sense on my post. I think it is full enough.
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mum's rash is improving due to your daily care. The cream is obviously working well. and keeps the moisture away. Candida yeast (thrush)which is the same that causes nappy( = diaper) rash, just loves the moist warmth between skin folds. Don't feel bad for not spotting it earlier.
Just an extra hint you might find helpful ( it was good for my Mum)
If you have any very soft cotton interlock vests you could try putting one on under your Mum's bra and pushing a seperating layer gently up between the folds.(also under nightwear) It likely will stay in place and speed the healing. Similarly for groin folds.
Failing old vests etc, just using a square of old T shirt should work where required...anything to stop direct skin to skin contact and make it uncomfortable for those yeasty beasties!
Best wishes from Chris, retired doc, a regular reader of your so loving blog in UK
Oh! thanks!! Great advice.
