To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Winter Wonderland Again

This is our second big snow of the season. We have been without a good snow for years and we had two already this year. Lately we have just been getting nasty ice. I like the snow better.

Mom is napping I told her we had a big snow storm but she made no comment. She ate a good breakfast and was happy to get in her easy chair. Some people look forward to the day when all they have to do is eat and sleep. No more getting up in the morning and going to work. Well I think that may be over rated. Look out for what you wish for.

My son is playing his piano. He finally came home. I was glad to see him.
Doing homework and playing on his guitar, banjo or piano keeps him busy at home.He also can play the trumpet but we sold it on Ebay. We have music all the time. Mom used to yell when he played his trumpet or guitar but now she just sleeps. Those were the good old days.

I told him if he gets bored he can go shovel the driveway. I won't hold my breath. :)

  1. We have snow, too. I am enjoying it but I doubt if Elbert has even noticed. It's too, too sad when they no longer even care about what is going on around them.

  2. Ahhhh, the snow.... looks so pretty!

I so agree with you about, watch out what you wish for....

Your son is such a talented young man (with a good mother)....It's so good that he can play several instruments.... music is soothing to the soul....and he'll never be bored as long as he can play an instrument.
    Stay warm...

  3. I wouldn't hold mine either, I like the snow and ice if I don't have to go out in it.

  4. We got snow & ice here. Stay warm & enjoy the music!

  5. Your snow looks pretty.

You have a good point there about being careful what we wish for.

Your son sounds like a multi-talented young man. How nice to have music in the house.

  6. thats a wonderful photo! I would stay in and enjoy the music! The snow can wait!

  7. Much rather have the snow than ice!!
How right you are about being careful for what you wish for.

  8. I'm sick of snow. I am. I'm about ready to pack up everything and move to the tropics.

But then...I think about those storms (like the Sunami) and I get back to my senses.

What a blessed son you have.

    Love, Rebecca

  9. Thanks all. I would love to live on the beach "no snow" except during storm season. :)

  10. My mom seems happy to eat and sleep, those were her favorite things to do, as long as I can remember. Pathetic, really.

  11. All my mom did all day was watch tv Than she would go to sleep listening to country music. She loved country music but now she does not even do that.I leave the radio or tv on till she falls asleep sometimes. But not sure if she cares.

  12. I love me some piano, we use to have a neighbor whose daughter practiced every day after school. i could hear it drift through the windows, would sit on my porch and it was just lovely

Thanks for visiting my blog and I love reading your comments. Please come back soon. Karen
