To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Two Bags of Chips and a 2 liter of Cherry Dr Pepper

I am on my second small bag of chips and I am drinking out of a 2 liter bottle. No glass just the bottle .HELP!!! I will weigh a ton soon.

The day after my day off of caring for mom is the worst. I don't know why . Maybe because I know it will be a week till my next day or night off. My son came home for a while and gave me money to help pay bills. That made me happy than he left and went bouldering. That's a fancy word for rock climbing I guess. He does it in a Bouldering Gym. Any way I got so sad I started pigging out again. Writing this post is helping . I'm not eating just writing.

Mom has had a bad day today with eating , drinking and changing. Not enough eating and drinking and to many changes needed. I am sorry I am always talking about changing mom. My son hates it but I tell him what else am I going to talk about. This weekend I am going grocery shopping so hopefully I can get some new stuff to try to feed mom. I am out of the stuff she likes so am going to stock up on that too.

We are under a Thunderstorm watch . I love the rain and I don't mind storms. If there are no tornadoes or hail in them . We have way to much of that in these here parts. Maybe the storm will get my mine off eating and I can just worry about the weather.

  1. aww bless it must be so hard for you to have to see her that way. I have read that older people like soft foods, cottage cheese shakes applesauce etc. Maybe that will help

  2. I have made shakes with her ensure but lately I have been lazy . I need to start that again. My son makes great smooties too. She doesn't like them so much. Thanks for reminding me of Shakes.

  3. I think you are amazing the way you take care of your mother!!
Write about anything you want to and don't feel like you have to apologize for it.

  4. It's no wonder that you feel bad after your temporary breaks. You're amazing doing what you do. Not everyone can or even would do it.

    BIG hug.

And if you like fruits and vegetables, try those instead. At least they're GOOD for you. :-)

  5. I get like that too, if its something Im really not wanting to deal with. It really stems from the dreaded words every woman hates to hear, 'emotional eating'. Ugh. I hate that term, but it pretty much suits me to a tee.

I found what helps me when I revert to old ways, is to read a book that I find particularly inspiring- and it almost always takes my mind off of everything. Anyways, I know money is tight for you so I purchased a used book on ebay that I would love to send you via mail (you can email me your information).

Generally speaking I'm not huge on spiritual books, but my mother gave me a copy as one of my wedding gifts and told me to read just one chapter a day until it was finished. Its one of those subtle life altering books that really makes you appreciate everything in life. Anyways, let me know if you would like me to have it sent to you-

and hey. this is your blog- you talk about anything you want on here missy. This is your place to relax and cut loose.

This is one of my fav. quotes from the book-

“Whatever we are waiting for - peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance - it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.”

  7. Hi Karen,

I agree with the comment from Karen - that you can and should write about whatever you need. Your service and caring for your mom is remarkable. She would be so proud and grateful knowing she raised such a good daughter. Don't ever feel you have to censor your words. And thank you for your reassuring comments to me after one of my psycho posts! Sometimes Dr. Pepper and chips are therapeutic. Don't beat yourself up. It's Saturday morning now - I hope you have a peaceful weekend. Talk soon!

I am going to get nuts instead of chips this trip to the store. Like NV said at least they are healthy. Thanks guys for not caring what I say or talk about . And thanks for readind my silly post.
