Happy Easter
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter Sunday. Easter is one of my favorite days.Almost 20 years ago my son was born on Easter Sunday so that makes it very special to me. But he was also born on tax day April 15Th. I still don't care for tax day much. :)
It is going to be a pretty day . High 70's. Mom is still in bed . She is not asleep. In fact she has been awake all night. Talking her little head off. At least she does not try to run away anymore. It has been years since she has even tried to get out of bed. I do wish she could walk again but don't miss having to keep an eye on her 24/7.
My son stayed with friends last night which makes for a lonely Easter so far.
I love Easter service and did not get to go to one this year. I made it last year but not this one. I think it is my favorite service. Christmas is a close second.
I am excited about my son's birthday. I want to take him to supper and to a movie. Not sure when I will get to. He is busy and I have to get a sitter for mom. Of course it is still a few days away so I am sure we will find the time some where in the next two weeks.
Everyone have a Blessed Easter Sunday!!!

Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI just got back from church. :-)
I hope you get to get out with your son and I wish you and yours a very happy easter
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Easter gift, to have a child on such a special day! (Too bad it was also April 15th, hahaha.)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you could not get to Easter service this year; that is such an uplifting Sunday. I wish you peace in this Spring, some time to yourself, a night out with your birthday boy, and a little rest now and again!
When my Mom stopped walking, I was very disturbed, but honestly in the end it is easier than being so vigilant and making sure they aren't wandering off or falling! At least you know where they are.
Blessings to you, Karen, in this special season,
Best ... Cass
Karen,
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a blessed Easter and all the wonders of spring!
Your Friend,
Deborah
Happy early birthday to your son and all the blessings of Easter and spring to the three of you! glad it was a pretty day. It was nice here, too, but very windy.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you ....and hoping you have a good week. I hope you and your son can get away for awhile and celebrate his birthday.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Hi Karen :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son!
I hope Easter was nice :)
I just came by to say thank you for your sweet comments and catch up with you and your mom.
You're in my prayers....
hugs,
rue
Thinking of you and your mom and how precious life is. You inspire with your diligence and humanness as you care for her.
ReplyDeleteYour outlook is inspiring, I hope you enjoyed your Easter. Have you checked with hospice to see if they have any volunteer sitters so you could get out? We have them here, but I don't know if all communities do; they are a Godsend, even an hour break sometimes makes a world of difference.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, hope you had a good one!
ReplyDeleteI hope your Easter turned out to be a nice one. How special that your son was born on Easter day. I sure do hope you and he will be able to have a fun time on his birthday.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers look so pretty.
