Good morning everyone. I hope all is well for the bloggers in the path of Irene. We got a nice thunderstorm last night. Sure needed the rain.
Mom has not been feeling good all weekend. I believe she has another UTI . And her tummy is all swollen. I don't think that is a good thing. UTI's are very common in older people in mom's shape and many die from it. She sure gets them a lot but so far we have cleared them up. The nurse will be by today and we will figure it out.
I have some kind of allergy or poison Ivy thing going on my face. My eyes are blood shot and swollen and I have a rash near one eye and on my chin. It itch's a little . To top it off I have a lunch date with a friend. And I really wanted to go. I still might it my eyes look better by then.
The cat might of got into some poison Ivy and brought it home to me. No more letting him give me some loving. He loves to rub your face with his head. But no more. Not taking any chances.
Got to go. Have a great week.

I hope the nurse is able to figure out the problem and get your mom feeling better soon. How well I remember those UTIs from my mom's last year. Terrible things.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my fingers crossed that you will be able to get out for lunch. I'm sure you could use that respite.
Best wishes for your mother. You might want to see if the nurse will give you a diagnosis for your face. Go to a Walgreens and get the "clinic" person look at your rash and eyes. I think that you might need a steroid shot. Hubby is highly sensitive to poison ivy and his eyes have been known to be involved. Hugs for improvement for you and mom.

You need the lunch date, I sure hope you're feeling better so you can go and enjoy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear the nurse is coming....so glad you have that help.
I think of you each day...
My guy is right close to your town right now on biz...
ReplyDeleteHope the nurse is able to find out the trouble and get your momma on a better path...
Love to you~

Hi
ReplyDeleteAlzheimers is a mongrel thing!
My mother who is 86, has it but is healthy and really only has short term memory problems.
She is in aged care as a result of a bladder infection! She was neglected at her home by my brother [her carer] and my sister who live there. They left her ill for 2 days before calling an ambulance.
3 weeks in hospital, comatose, then into the home.
An inpatient at the hospital advised me to get my Mum some zinc tablets for the UTI. She said she has taken it for 5 years. So I did and so far no sign of UTI in 9 months. Thought this might work for your Mum. Best wishes.
Zinc it is . Thanks so very much!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining my blog, Karen. Welcome aboard!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the zinc tabs.
I hope your guy enjoyed his visit to our town Rebecca it is pretty nice here most of the time. I had my lunch date it was fun. The nurse is bringing mom some med for her UTI today and I got some Zinc for mom. Thanks girls.
