There are 5.4 million people who have Alzheimer's. It cost 183 billion dollars in annual costs. Alz's is the 6th leading cause of death.
To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.     I saw Diane Sawyer interviewing Maria Shriver on the news last night on this very topic. They were saying that the stress for caregivers rates a 5 out of 5. It seems like everybody I know who has a parent with it worries that they, too, will get it. My brother said that he hopes it will skip a generation.

    The Good Morning America and Diane Sawyer segment this week.... has really made me do some heavy thinking about the stress of care giving......I do believe the #5..... I'm 5 1/2 right now.... Thanks Karen, and I hope you are taking care of yourself!

1. No sign of congnitive impairment. 2. Very mild congnitive decline. 3. Mild congnitive decline. 4. Moderate congnitive decline. 5. Moderately severe congnitive decline. 6.
