Brain Fart
Brain Fart is a term I learned from my son's girlfriend's mom. "I really like her and her daughter". Anyway she used this phase when she forgot what she was telling me once. Well it felt right to me this morning because my brain is fried or something today. I can't talk or get anything done right. Maybe I will go back to bed and start over later. While I was feeding mom every time I wanted her to take a bite I would say here mom take a drink and every time I wanted her to take a drink I would say open wide and take a bite. If she is not confused enough I must of really confused her this morning. T.G.I.F.
You poor thing, I have been talking to everyone today and it seems everyone is having a really tough Friday! I hope the rest of the evening goes by more relaxing for you!
ReplyDeleteOh, and you need to rent the first season of Fringe to get caught up- its an amazing show!
Hi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your recent visits to my blog. I have been doing a little bit of reading here on your blog. First I am sending you a "virtual hug" as I kinda know how hard your job is. I say kinda because I am the primary person responsible for my mom's care, but since she resides in an assisted living facility I'm not the one responsible for bathing, diaper changing, etc. It takes a very special person (like you) to be willing and able to do that. You are a good daughter and what you are doing for your mom is a kind and loving thing.
I can also tell that your blog is a wealth of information for alzheimer's caregivers. I know that I will be back to visit you often.
Thanks Victoria and Happy-Home.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog Karen, and for the kind words. They mean more than you know.
